CPRP Successfully Conducts Sensitization Advocacy Meeting in Jaffna

The Committee for Protecting Rights of Prisoners (CPRP) successfully held its latest ‘Sensitization Advocacy Meetings With Stakeholders, Lawyers, Journalist & Staff of NGOs’ in the Jaffna District.

This vital initiative brought together key community pillars—including legal professionals, media personnel, and civil society representatives—to strengthen collective advocacy for prisoners’ rights and prison reform in Sri Lanka.

This program focused on:

Increasing awareness on Prisoners’ Rights

Discussing the current situation and challenges within Sri Lanka’s prison system

Encouraging collaborative efforts for justice, dignity, and humane treatment

By empowering local stakeholders, CPRP aims to drive meaningful, systemic reforms and ensure fairness within the system. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all attendees for their active participation and valuable insights, marking another significant step toward a more just and humane society.
